#25759 SQL Problem with Windows 10

Posted by Jivko on 17 September 2015 - 12:19 AM

Thank you guys! The problem was that in Windows 10 I was unable to locate the Windows services to start the SQL Server. This is what I've got from dev,s:

"The service isn't running. In the windows search bar type 'services' and open the services applet. start SQL Server (SIXBITDBSERVER)"

In the beginning the applet didn't respond (I don't know why!), but after a couple of trials and restarts I managed to open it and to start the server.

Once again thanks for your help.

#25742 SQL Problem with Windows 10

Posted by Jivko on 16 September 2015 - 04:49 AM

All this is so confusing for me, like Chinese... I have just updated to Windows 10 and can't access the SixBit DB. I am using a local account. In Task manager I see only Sqlbrowser - running and local service. I am using SQL Server 2008 R2|SQL. Also I cannot find SIXBITDBSERVER to check the string as per the Error message.

Please excuse my ignorance, but I need more detailed instructions on how to try to solve the problem.
